A Chinese form of medicine that is based on a theory that there a meridians running throughout a person’s body and that disease develops from imbalances in these meridians.  Tiny needles can be inserted into points along these meridians and bring balance to them.  Acupuncture can be used to help relieve symptoms of almost any disease.  It is extremely effective and relieving symptoms of pain. 

What to expect:
Acupuncture needles are 1/7th the size of any needle used to give shots.  Due to their small size, most people do not even feel them being inserted.  Once the needles are in the skin, the only sensation is a dull ache in the area.  Once they are taken out, usually there is some immediate relief and depending on the severity of the symptoms, may be relieved permanently.
